On the occasion of Family Day, José Pedro, a participant in the BYBLIOS project in Portugal, shared a deeply moving message that reminds us what inclusion, support, and human connection truly mean.

"At every step I take, I know I am not alone. And that makes all the difference."
These are the words of José Pedro, who is completing his professional internship as an Operational Assistant (Library Assistant) as part of the BYBLIOS International Project. His testimony beautifully reflects the project's heart: creating inclusive environments where individuals with intellectual disabilities feel welcomed, guided, and empowered to grow personally and professionally.

Libraries as Places of Belonging

For José, BYBLIOS isn’t just about skill-building or training—it’s about belonging. He speaks of family not just as the people at home who support him daily, but also the team and mentors he has found in his workplace.
