Byblios: a “bibliosocial lab”

The Byblios project 2023-1-IT02-KA220-ADU-000161194 presents the initial outcomes of a practical 'Bibliosocial Laboratory' to the local community.

On the 26th of May, in the council chamber of Spoltore Municipality in Italy, project representatives, local authorities, and members of schools and universities, as well as the regional school office, will come together to discuss how a school library can become a place not only for promoting culture, but also for fostering authentic relationships and providing opportunities for the inclusion of adults with intellectual disabilities.

Inclusion means changing contexts, not forcing people to adapt.

The culture that develops in school libraries is related to people's ability to make sense of their life experiences. The school library thus becomes an integrated cultural centrea welcoming place to build relationships. The ways in which this can be achieved in practice will be presented and discussed at a seminar, where the variety of interventions will be a real success factor
